Because of the time difference, the 2021 ATP season officially begins Thursday around noon in Turkey where in Antalya 32 players in singles have assembled.

Leading the way on the hard courts are three Top 20 players including Matteo Berrettini, David Goffin and Fabio Fognini.

Australian Alex De Minaur is seeded fourth, then Jan-Lennard Struff, Nikolaz Basilashvili, Miomir Kecmanovic and the quirky Alexander Bublik.

Jannik Sinner, Borna Coric and Benoit Paire were among those players withdrawing from the event.

Tournament winners will collect about $34K (USD) along with 250 ATP Ranking points. This is the fourth straight year Antalya has hosted an ATP 250 but first on hard courts after three years played in June on grass.

Following the event, players entered into the Australian will travel to Dubai for a chartered plane to Melbourne.
