Taylor Fritz collected his first title of the season in South Florida winning in Delray Beach over Miomir Kecmanovic 6-0, 5-7, 6-2.

“My first time back here in quite a while and the event was amazing,” Fritz told the ATP. “The fans especially, the turnout was incredible and it makes me really proud to be an American playing at a home event, with how many people were in the stands.”

“This year was incredible after losing in the first and second round every single year I’d been here. I couldn’t be happier with coming back and having this result.”

The 25-year-old Fritz jumped out quickly winning the first seven games of the match before the Serb got on board.

Fritz finished with 10 aces and lost a total of just two points on his first serve in three sets. A lone break cost him the second but he regrouped to win his fifth career title.

Kecmanovic falls to 3-14 against Top 10 players. He was seeking his second career title.

In four tour-level meetings, Fritz now has the better of Kecmanovic 3-1.
