The 2024 Wimbledon draw was released earlier today and the last two Grand Slam winners, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, ended up on the same top half of the draw.

That left 7-time champion Novak Djokovic in the bottom half along with Alexander Zverev among the Top 4 seeds.

Djokovic, who underwent right knee surgery less than a month ago, has been practicing all week and sounds like he’s ready for action on Tuesday.

Andy Murray is also a question mark. The 2-time winner underwent back surgery last week and still might play on Tuesday.

Top 16 seed are 1 Jannik Sinner, 2 Novak Djokovic, 3 Carlos Alcaraz, 4 Alexander Zverev, 5 Daniil Medvedev, 6 Andrey Rublev, 7 Hubert Hurkacz, 8 Casper Ruud, 9 Alex De Minaur, 10 Grigor Dimitrov, 11 Stefanos Tsitsipas, 12 Tommy Paul, 13 Taylor Fritz, 14 Ben Shelton, 15 Holger Rune, and 16 Ugo Humbert.

He could face former finalist Matteo Berrettini with junior winner Marton Fucsovics and with Tallon Griekspoor and Ben Shelton on the horizon. Fellow semifinalist from last year Daniil Medvedev and Grigor Dimitrov could be potential.

Notes: An opens section will likely see someone make their first Wimbledon semifinal. Zverev might be the slight favorite and then Taylor Fritz and Jack Draper who have been on good runs. Sebastian Korda has also been playing well plus Alejandro Tabilo. And Andrey Rublev will look to shake an 0-10 mark in Slam quarterfinals.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC QUARTER

He’ll face tests in the fourth round from Holger Rune or Karen Khachanov and then Hubert Hurkacz in the quarters. All eyes will also on Murray who will take on Tomas Machac. That’s if Murray can play and if does he Machac beat him in Miami.
