Rafael Nadal Final Match Highlights [Video]
November 19, 2024 will go down as the last day that Rafael Nadal played a professional tennis match.
The 38-year-old walked on the court in a surprise move to play No. 2 singles against the tricky Botic van de Zandschulp.
Nadal hadn’t played singles since his loss to Novak Djokovic at the Paris Olympics. And today, the Spaniard tried to fight but at 38, with little match play, on his worst surface, the game wasn’t there in a 6-4, 6-4 loss.
Nadal finished with two aces, was broken three times, won just 67% of first serves and only 43% of second serves. He had 10 winners (8 off the forehand) with 26 unforced errors.
