Now that the ATP season is officially over (Davis Cup is ITF), the men’s governing body has released a six-minute video of what they consider to be the best points of 2011.

Among the highlights are the usual cast of the best shotmakers like Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Even Michael Llodra gets in the act not once but twice.

Ben Pronin Says:

Wow. Just wow. Who says tennis lacks raw athleticism?

jane Says:

Would love to see some from the slams too, but those were fun.

alison hodge Says:

great to see such fabulous shots again, and not to sound biased but i loved rafas hotdog lob over nole the best, and the way the commontator called him phenominadal.

Skorocel Says:

Agree with alison hodge. Nadal’s hotdog lob clearly the best from this pack.

jane Says:

Yeah, my two faves were Nadal’s lob and Nole’s crosscourt volley because that whole rally between Rafa and him was great. Ferrer’s point was pretty great too, mostly because of all the running he had to do to win it, and Fed’s reverse tweener was cool. I picked that Fed/Gasquet match as one of the year’s best when andrea raised the issue a few threads back.

Tripp Says:

No grand slam matches…Djokovic Tsonga from Wimbledon deserves to be on any “Greatest points of 2011” list, among many other grand slam and davis cup matches that the ATP is ignoring.

RZ Says:

Those were pretty good though there were many more that could have made the list. I’m surprised they didn’t include Roddick’s championship point winner over Raonic in San Jose, although that was a smaller tournament.
