2024 Rome Masters Tennis Odds

Rome, Italy will play host to the final significant stop before the French Open begins the last week in May. So many of the biggest stars in tennis will assemble at the Foro Italico for their final push for Roland Garros.

Novak Djokovic is expected to return along with rival and fellow great Rafael Nadal. For the women, the new Big 4 of Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, defending champion Elena Rybakina and US Open champion Coco Gauff are the early headliners.

Who Are The Men’s Betting Favorites?

Favorite son Jannik Sinner won’t be available nor will Carlos Alcaraz. That leaves 6-time winner Novak Djokovic as the clear favorite though the Serb has yet to win a title in 2024. Rafael Nadal resumes his farewell but the 10-time champion will be hard-pressed to win seven matches!

Defending champion Daniel Medvedev is a question mark with a groin injury so perhaps Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev and Casper Ruud are the next in line?

Who Are The Women’s Betting Favorites?

Iga Swiatek after her Madrid triumph is the woman to beat, but the pack is catching up. Aryna Sabalenka continues to improve on her least favorite surface and Elena Rybakina won the title last year. Maria Sakkari, Coco Gauff and Ons Jabeur could do damage as well.

The tournament begins on Tuesday, May 7 with play from the women.

Tournament odds to follow.

How Do You Read Rome Masters Odds?

Understanding sports odds in general can be a dauting challenge for many fans. For tennis odds, when there is a plus sign (+), that indicates how much money you would win putting $100 down.

When there is a minus sign (-), that means you have to put that much down to win $100.

So at the Rome Masters, if Carlos Alcaraz is +150, that means if you bet $100, if he won again you would get back $250 ($100 for your bet plus the $150 in winnings). If Iga Swiatek was -250 to win the Rome Masters, and you put $250 down, if Swiatek won the title you would get back $350 ($250 in your initial bet plus $100 for the win).

When reading fractional odds -- let's say Novak Djokovic is 5/2 -- the first number (in this case 5) is the profit and the second number (in this case 2) is what you need to put down to get that. So if you put $2 down on Djokovic, you would get back $7 in total if he won ($2 is your bet plus the $5 for winning).

Now if Aryna Sabalenka was 2/7, if you put $7 down and she won you would get back $9 ($7 your initial bet plus $2 for the win).
