Serena Williams: OSCARS 3rd Best Day of My Life

by Tom Gainey

The tennis world is descending upon Southern California this week, but not everyone is there to compete for the Indian Wells title. Among them, Serena and Venus Williams who are continuing there boycott of the popular Masters event.

Serena still was in the area to attend last night’s 82nd Annual Academy Awards and of course the parties that followed including the traditional Vanity Fair party and Elton John’s AIDS Foundation gala.

Accompanied by boyfriend/rapper Common, Serena also hit the pre-party circuit over the weekend, and more.

Well into the morning hours, Serena tweeted: “3ed best day of my life after @greenday first concert, and after @greenday concert in Vienna 2010 :)”.

Serena hasn’t played since her Australian Open triumph, but at least she’s been keeping busy and happy. Going to parties tend to have that effect.

I’ll have a poll later on Serena/Venus’s non-attendance at Indian Wells.
