A Ripped Serena Williams Practiced Yesterday In Melbourne [Video]
by Tom Gainey

Just days after turning her left ankle, Serena Williams was back on the tennis court yesterday in Australia. A ripped-looking Serena had her left ankle taped up, but the injury didn’t appear to be a problem.

And that’s good news for Serena and bad news for the field at the Australian Open which begins in a week.

Serena also seems to be in good spirits, tweeting some funny tidbits. “Just left hotel pool -bikini clad thinking I can jump on elevator quick and run to room. 5 men were waiting for me in elevator. #Awkward” she posted over the weekend.

Just imagine!

Serena has won five Australian Opens including the title the last two times she’s played the tournament in 2009, 2010. She missed 2011 because of that foot injury.

leo vixen Says:

Should she be making a ” jump into elevator and a quick run to the room” with a sprained ankle that she withdrew from a tournament with? Things that make you go,”hmmmmm”.

frank Says:

which part of her is ripped?

Thangs Says:

@frank, lol:-)

Thangs Says:

100% fit Serena, Nadal will never loose:-)

Humble Rafa Says:

Before your Humble Highness became Humble Rafa, he/she did think about becoming Arrogant Serena. Two intriguing personalities. But Rafa won the day.

Pat Says:

There’s so much abuse these girls have taken over the years…no time to be humble but to FIGHT…its an ugly world. Im teaching my kids to be just like SERENA – BE WHO YOU’RE DONT pretend like Rafa or Roger who are equally hotheads but get away coz of their gender and race.

jane Says:

I notice a few articles confirming Venus Williams will not be playing the AO. “I regret to announce that I am withdrawing from the Australian Open.”After several months of training and treatment, I am making steady progress to top competitive form. “I am very close to being ready to return to WTA competition.”

Perhaps this was already announced here in another thread; sorry for the repetition if so.

Good to hear Venus is making progress with her condition.

Anna Says:

I’m not sure Venus will make it back. Her age and condition just maybe to much to overcome. I watched her play earlier this year and she wasn’t even close to form. Everything seemed a struggle. It was sadz.

Anna Says:

Pat – Just leave Roger and Rafa out of your ridiculous little rant. If only Serena were white she’d have won 25 slams by now…boo…hoo….

Andre Says:

@Anna, Please shut your stupid mouth up.
@frank, I bet your body looks like a fat whale so grown up Ignorant.
