A few days after a heartfelt message announcing his continued issues with his left wrist, Juan Martin del Potro tweeted out a post-surgery photo surgery Thursday.
“Hello. Here I am recovering after the surgery. I’m really thankful to you for being there and for your messages,” he said after the 1 hour, 20 minute procedure.

From del Potro’s words, this procedure, the third one on his left wrist in the last 15 months, has the feel of a last chance to save the Argentine’s career.
He has announced no timetable for return.
Moved to tears. This is worth more than the tournament trophies. Humbled and thankful for ever! https://t.co/EH1gBL8u8D
