Tommy Robredo on the phone in the movie 'Cellular'As Holiday tradition in the U.S. dictates, one can never get enough of flipping through the mindless crap of programs that is cable TV. That is until last night when I stopped on a flick entitled “Cellular” and I come to find out that starring alongside Kim Basinger, Jason Statham, William Macy and Jessica Beil is none other than Tommy Robredo. That’s right, Tommy Robredo.

Not only is Tommy in the movie, but he’s the central figure! How the hell did that happen? And go figure, in the movie, which is fairly entertaining, he lost the Spanish accent and never did flaunt that one-handed backhand – he did punch a dude. But during shooting, I wonder where did he hide his racquet bag? His dunlop sticks?? Or his nasty Sergio Tachinni rags?

Well done Tommy, I’ll be on the lookout for more of your movies. Hope the tennis career is still in tact, but if not, looks like you got a future on the big screen. Can’t wait for the sequel…

Tommy Robredo Fan Says:

That’s Chris Evans and not Tommy Robredo jackass! Sean Randall is a freakin idiot for not confirming his resources before publishing this article. He’s probably high on something while watching cable tv to mistake the tennis star from the movie actor. “…he lost the Spanish accent”… shouldn’t that give it away?

Sean Randall please do not reproduce. We don’t need anymore dumb people in this world.
