In a hilarious promotion for Stand Up To Cancer, several stars tried out for the role of playing Andy Murray in a movie about the tennis star.

Pop sensations Pharrell and Britney Spears were among the celebs who went through “casting”, with Britney trying to win the role of Murray’s girlfriend, Kim Sears.

After Terry Wogan’s attempt to capture Murray, the movie’s director, Richard Ayoade, remarked to Andy, “It was flat, it was unengaging.”

Murray dryly responds, “Well I agree, yes. That’s exactly what we are looking for.” Very funny!

Wrote Murray, “This was a lot of fun and was awesome to be able to get involved with such a great cause! Make sure you tune in and watch +Stand Up To Cancer on the 17th of October so you can see the full sketch.”

I want to see the auditions to play Maggie May and Rusty. And who’s going to appear in the credits as “dog wrangler”?
