The folks at Tennis-X have finally got back into gear. This blogging “function” has been broken the last month, but as you can see it’s now fixed. Why it took them a month I will never know…

To catch up:

Well done to…
Roger Federer, for getting halfway to Pete
Marcos Baghdatis, for just being who he is – let’s hope he eventually does win a Slam – and for having that girlfriend
Martina Hingis, for being just what the doctor ordered as the WTA was heading to shear boredom-ville until she showed up
Bryans/doubles, for sticking it to the ATP and getting doubles on the map
ESPN, for showing countless hours of tennis and causing countless numbers of people to lose sleep
Tommy Haas, for looking like a Top 5 player against Federer and in his Delray title
Kim Clijsters, for being so standup-ish especially compared to her countrywoman
Amelia Mauresmo, for finally breaking through
Nikolay Davydenko, for actually showing he does have game

Doh to…
Andy Roddick, for not playing agressive like he said he would
Andy Roddick, for failing to recognize you would need to play three matches to qualify in Delray
Justine Henin, for being a complete selfish you-know-what
Serena Williams, for getting bigger
David Nalbandian, for not being able to close out – injury or not – big matches
Lleyton Hewitt, for losing a step
American tennis, for not having a future
Aussie officials, for not closing the roof to prevent rainstorms during the Serena-Hantuchova and Nalbandian-Baghdatis matches
Maria Sharapova, for getting trounced by Martina Hingis in Tokyo
Karol Beck, for testing positive before we really figured out if you were any good

Till next time…
