In this video from the French Tennis Federation, Novak Djokovic follows up on his 2009 “lesson in speaking French” with a humorous update on his progress.

Djokovic didn’t win the Paris tournament this year, but he did end 2010 on the highest of notes winning the Davis Cup title two weeks ago. And while I have no idea what he’s saying, his French sounds great.

Et bien, il en a encore des progrès à faire… lol

He is a nice guy – though he beat us :-(

jane Says:

He’s getting a little better…speaks a few languages now I think. Good job Nole.

killerc Says:

wow, that’s impressive.. I’ve always heard though English is one of the hardest languages to learn and that once you get it down as a 2nd language, other romance languages can come quicker! I imagine he reads a lot & works on education to kill time with all the travel he does.

dari Says:

To know that kind of slang, and a decent accent (actually I don’t know what’s decent)- well done novak!
That second part is hilarious!

Anna Says:

Nole has a way with languages. I was impressed with his Italian a few years ago at the Rome final. If I’m not mistaken, he speaks English, some German and Italian, his native language and now learning French which will come in handy living in Monte Carlo.
