American Vania King knocked it out of the park with this impromptu rendition of the timeless “Dream a Little Dream Of Me”.

King was still on the court after a 3-set win over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova when ESPN’s Pam Shriver asked the 22-year-old to sing a couple of lines from one of her favorite songs. And King, who’s sung opera before and even performed the national anthem, reluctantly but thankfully, for us listeners, agreed.

What a voice! What a performance!

King now plays No. 21 seed and former champion Ana Ivanovic on Saturday.

Wow, very nice :))

Still, I’m for Ana now.

Btw, I think Ana was a runner up here…

Tennis Vagabond Says:

Fantastic! What guts to do that on the spur of the moment after an exhausting match. I hope to see more of her. Wait! Is she a shrieker? I couldnt handle that.

dari Says:

Amazing. Everyone said it was good, but that’s way better than I thought! This little is very good in the dubs and keeps a foot in the door in singles too. Good for her!

I am now a big fan of hers! What a voice!! Keep at it, Vania.

Miki Says:

Wog boy Says:

She is SINGING, and I mean SINGING, such a humble girl, but sorry I have to go for Ana. Go Ana.
She was runner up, i think she lost to Maria, that was the year when Ana and JJ, kicked out Serena and Venus. Doesn’t happen often so it is nice to remember.

Wog boy Says:

Just checked, AO 2008

jane Says:
