Rafael Nadal, Spanish Davis Cup Team Honored By PM Mariano Rajoy [Video]

Rafael Nadal joined his fellow 2011 Davis Cup winning team members David Ferrer, Albert Costa and Alex Corretja for special ceremony put on by Spain’s PM Mariana Rojoy at the Moncloa Palace in Madrid.

“Today the Moncloa and the Zarzuela received us for the Davis Cup 2011. With Ferrer remembering that great final at Sevilla.A hug for the team especially to Francis Roig and Albert Costa!” posted via Facebook.


The PM praised the Spanish champions, then addressed the controversial comments made by the French last week.

The players later met with the Royal Family, Juan Carlos de Borbon and Dona Sofia, at Zarzuela Palace.
