After his incredible summer culminating with a US Open title Monday night over rival Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal hit the New York media circuit.

The 13-time Grand Slam champion was a busy Spaniard on Tuesday hitting shows like Charlie Rose and appearing on CNN.

LEGEND!

Brando Says:

^^That he certainly is!

Okiegal Says:

The Charlie Rose interview was one of the best I have had the pleasure of watching. Charlie asked great questions. No problem understanding Rafa’s answers in English today. The language barrier has improved so much. Enjoyed it!!

IMHO he is a humble young man who trains very hard to improve his game so he is able to beat tough opponents like Novak. Hats off to him!! He is an amazing player.
Vamos Rafa!!

Anna Says:

Thanks for the videos, they’re all great. Rafa is an incredible and gracious champion. When Charlie brought up the rivalry between he and Novak, he made sure to include Roger in the conversation. Also, the number of times he praised Novak in his pressors has to be some kind of record. No way papa Djokovich can find fault here.

@Anna:

Spot on post!

Some say Rafa is not a humble guy but just look at these interviews then say that with honesty!

He is blatantly, genuinely a nice, humble guy: hence why so many adore this champion!

The manner in which unprovoked he praises Roger Federer and Andy Murray, the way in which he refers to Novak in a manner that seems befitting of someone who is awe and appreciation of someone’s talent just shows what a genuinely great guy Rafa is!

You just cannot help but liking this champion…. such as how this guy posted this tweet post Rafa’s win:

Rafael Nadal Perera… Legend

:-)

Teeg Says:

What a great interview by Charlie Rose. I too am very impressed with how much Rafa has improved his English. Also, like others have mentioned, I could not help but admire how Rafa went out of his way to bring up his rivalry with Roger when Charlie pointed to his with Novak. How respectful Rafa is towards his peers. And even though is is literally breathing down Roger’s neck, he remains as humble as ever. Truly, you can’t help but admire this most humble and gracious of Champions!

Polo Says:

That was a most impressive interview. Charlie Rose has always been a great interviewer but Nadal was a revelation. He gave the most incisive answers in a language he used to be uncomfortable with. He was so humble, so genuine, so great…even off the court. Now I wonder why I did not become a fan from the onset.
