10 Comments for Tennis Community Reacts To Retirement Of Li Na

Brando 2.0 Says:

One of the few genuine personalities on the tour (either tour really)who just oozed a warm, bubbly, affectionate, somewhat off beat personality.

Her smile and Tennis will certainly be missed- all the best to you Li Na on all future endeavour’s you may pursue as well as much joy to experience with your loved one’s in the closing of a truly fantastic career!

You’ll be missed for sure!

SG1 Says:

Between the loss of Kim Clijsters and Li Na, there’s almost a vacuum at the top of the women’s game in terms of genuine class. Kvitova and Wozniacki seem nice enough but beyond them, I’m not all that impressed with the rest.

Wheels Says:

I loved this gals spunk and tell it like it is attitude. May the next phase of her life be happy and fulfilling.

Humble Rafa Says:

Good for her. I am sorry for her husband.

Okiegal Says:

The middle pic of her in the white dress and Petra in the blue one…..wow, they both looked gorgeous!! The lady tennis players are always seen on court at their worst……those two clean up nicely …..would not have recognized Li Na……She will be missed, she was always so cute and funny in her on court interviews. Good luck to her!

Michael Says:

Well, she has taken a decision and it has to be respected. Although we can perceive it to be too early, yet there must be some strong reason behind her decision apart from lack of motivation. Li Na certainly brought glory to China in the World of Tennis with all her achievements/exploits and she was an inspiration for the development of Sport in China where many young players have taken the lead upon her success and are trying to push their way into the top especially in the women’s section. She has been a role model in a way for young Chinese aspirants. She has definitely given her life a meaning and she can hold her head high. Wishing her all the best in her personal life.

Margot Says:

A lot of genuine warmth in those comments. I’ll miss her too and wish her well.

Okiegal Says:

I guess injuries were getting too much to deal with…..could be rough on the nerves, worrying whether or not you would be OK to compete. I wonder if Rafa will ever get to that point??

madmax Says:

Sad! Loved Li Na. So funny in her ceremonial speeches. Will miss her humour. Tennis can be way too serious sometimes!

Absolutely agree with Margot. Genuine warmth.

Good luck Li Na!

contador Says:
