Big Names Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams To Play Exo Event To Benefit Brushfires
Many of the big names in tennis will gather next Wednesday at Rod Laver Arena for a special exhibition event with proceeds going toward support for the fight against the Australian brushfires.
Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, Naomi Osaka and Nick Kyrgios will all be on the court.
“For a period of about two and a half hours we’re going to be showcasing the game, but also coming together as a community to play our part in the relief effort,” said Tennis Australia chief Craig Tiley of the “Rally for Relief.”
“We felt it was vital we use all our events across the summer to make a meaningful contribution to help these people and communities rebuild their lives. The response from the tennis community – our players, clubs, partners and international tennis bodies – has been overwhelming and it’s wonderful to see everyone pull together.”
