Novak Djokovic: The Baby Is Due In A Month
Novak Djokovic confirmed that he and wife Jelena Ristic are expecting the arrival of their first child a month.
“We are expecting it to happen in about a month,” Djokovic said on Tuesday. “So for now I’m playing here. I’m playing Shanghai. I’m supposed to play Paris and London. Nothing particularly changes in terms of tennis schedule.”
A “month” means the baby should arrive around November 1. That puts the due date during the final weekend of the Paris Indoors, which, as he says, he is scheduled to play for a 10th straight year (he won the title in 2014).
Or Djokovic could really be pointing to the free window in between the Paris Indoors and the ATP Finals. For Novak, a November 4 or 5 arrival would be the perfect time for the baby to arrive.
Let’s see if the little baby cooperates.
Djokovic returned won his 21st straight match earlier today in Beijing beating Vasek Pospisil to advance to Friday’s quarterfinal round.
