Thanasi Kokikinakis Doesn’t Think Nick Kyrgios Has Sex Before His Matches

One of the more salacious stories from week one at the French Open was an article from Australian GQ about Nick Kyrgios and his sex habits.

When asked about practicing abstinence before matches, the 20-year-old Kyrgios was having none of that. “I don’t abide by that rule,” Kyrgios told the magazine. “I don’t abide by that at all.”

And what about life on the tour as a pro?

“There’s definitely some advantages,” Kyrgios said. “You fly around the world doing what you love and that’s play tennis. And if you’re good enough, some of the top players have a lot of girls as well.”

“I won’t say any (names) but, mate, a lot goes on,” he said. “What happens on tour gets around fast, so you have to be careful. That’s why I don’t mess with any tennis chicks.”

After a 5-set win over Bernard Tomic, Kyrgios’s countryman Thanasi Kokkinakis came to Nicks defense.

“I don’t think that’s what he actually said,” Kokkinakis said. “Because when I read that article, I found that nowhere he is saying that he enjoys sex before the big matches. I think his words were misinterpreted. But then, if I have to say something about that, I’d say it depends on person, it’s a very individual matter.”

The full article is scheduled to be released this Monday.

Kyrgios, who has been romantically linked with Victoria Azarenka, has had plenty of time off this week to ply his trade. But the 20-year-old returns tomorrow to take on Andy Murray.

Kokkinakis will have his own troubles with World No. 1 Novak Djokovic.

“He barely misses a ball, mentally tough, lightning quick on court. The list goes on.

“He just does everything so well and so professional,” Kokkinakis said of Djokovic. “That’s why he’s had such great success. Everything he does is pretty top notch, and that’s why he is world No 1.

“But I’m not going to change my game plan. I’m going to try and do what I do well and hopefully it works against him. We’ll see.”

Lol with RG I’m surprised we’re having these articles about the boys’ sex lives.
Isn’t that material for the “off” season?

Now Kokkinakis defends Kry. Boom! So much for the Kry critique. Another argument loss by fanatics.
The guy is just a young dude, enjoying the tour. If you haven’t been there done that then don’t talk. He’ll mature soon enough, just like Novak had too. Enjoy the ride Kry. Just win baby.
