Flip lost in 2 TB’s too…a shame he wasn’t able to sneak in. Hope to see him again somehow on the main tour.

To me, Newport is the SXSW of ATP events – where the cool & the obscure (& sometimes both!) come to compete.

Did you see who beat the guy who beat Flip…? None other than THE Jan Hernych – I thought he had “Czeched in” to the same retirement home as Kucera & Mecir! LOL! Catch him while you can…

There are two clones in Newport. Hernych’s game is a clone of Stepanek and Rajeev Ram’s is a clone of Sampras.
