during grand slam, we should have some kids or adults activities to go with tennis event.
@fan
Mate, no bad feeling, but how did you end up on tennis blog, did you take wrong turn?
This year AO:
..and for adults there is everyday program and fun in Melbourne park (that’s how is the area where they play AO called) including world rock bands performing continuously in the park between RLA and Melbourne Arena (formerly Hinsense Arena), looks like this, from few years back but it’s excatly the same every year:
That’s why it is called Happy Slam and they broke attendance record this year, more than 780,000 people with payed tickets went through the gates this year, more than any other GS, not bad considering that Australia has only 25 million people spread out over the continet that is bigger than Europe and same as USA without Alaska and Hawai.
Correction, not bigger than Europe, but close enough for comparison.
I made mistake listening Aussie politicians and political analysts who often talk abou Europe without European part of Russia, of course Russia is European country.
we should an amator tennis grand slam event with thousand of players coming from everywhere in the world.
we should have more events with men, lady, junior and legend tour at the same time.
we should have a racket event with tennis, badminton, squash, tennis table and so on.
Agree fan, we should add beach volleyball too, WTA version, it has everything, ball, net, sun…and vedgies;)
^^
Should say “wedgie”, sorry:(
