In a social media post earlier today, Roger Federer confirmed his participation in Rome.

“So I just finished speaking to the team. And I’m happy to say I’m coming back to Rome to play in Italy. Can’t wait, so exciting, it’s been too long.”

A 4-time Rome finalist, he’s never won the title there. The last time he played was a 2016 loss to Dominic Thiem.

Seeded third, Federer will face either Tiafoe/Sousa, then possibly Coric in the third round, Tsitsipas in the quarters and Nadal in the semifinals.

Kevin Anderson is the only player in the Top 20 not playing.

Great to see him return to Rome again.
His love and dedication to the sport even at the age of 37 is beyond belief. Such an inspiration.

His game in madrid was awesome (even in the loss against thiem), Excited to see how he performs in Rome, which I have heard is very similar in condition to French Open.
His draw at Rome is much better than that of madrid (Tsitsipas in quarters is alot better than currently the hottest player on Clay).
