Reminder: Daniil Medvedev is still the world No. 1.

The Russian who is still seeking his first title since the US Open begins his summer hard court run in Mexico this week leading the field in Los Cabos.

The tiny 250-level event sports just four players in the Top 50 with Felix Auger Aliassime, Cameron Norrie and Miomir Kecmanovic, so it figures to be a great chance for Medvedev to get that title.

In his tournament debut, Medvedev could face Kecmanovic or 2021 finalist Brandon Nakashima in the semifinals.

In the bottom half, defending champion Cameron Norrie is projected to meet Auger-Aliassime in his semifinal.

Steve Johnson, Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco, who faces Thanasi Kokkinakis are also in that section.
