Carlos Alcaraz was simply too good today for Sebastian Korda. The 20-year-old Spaniard cruised past Korda 6-3, 6-4 to reach the grass final at Queen’s Club.

Alcaraz’s used his speed and forehand to overpower Korda who had no answers in the match.

“Right now I feel like I’m playing for 10 years on grass, it’s something crazy for me,” said Alcaraz to the ATP. “I didn’t expect to adapt my movement, my game so fast on grass. I’m really happy with that.

“I’m playing great, I’m feeling great,” he added. “I’m really happy to play here in Queen’s. Since the first match, I feel the love from the crowd. I would say that it’s impossible to win these kind of matches without them, without the energy they bring to me.”

Korda slips to 0-6 against Top 5 players and 1-4 against Alcaraz.

Alcaraz makes his 14th career final as he eyes his 11th career title and first on grass.

Up next will be seventh-seeded Alex De Minaur who earlier ended the hopes a 1-v-2 final taking out the 2nd-seeded Holger Rune 6-3, 7-6(7-2).

The Australian De Minaur never lost serve, breaking twice in the match.

“I love being here and playing on this court in front of this amazing crowd,” said De Minaur. “I am very happy to get through. I have played decent on grass and I am having a good week and this was my best performance of the week.”

De Minaur moves into his 12th career final, seeking his 8th career title and second on grass after Eastbourne in 2021.

Alcaraz was victorious in their lone collision in a very tight 2022 Barcelona semifinal in which De Minaur held match points.

“It’s going to be a big challenge for me. His game is really good on grass,” Alcaraz said of the final. “He serves so flat. He’s going to be very dangerous here on grass.

“But I think about myself, I’m thinking about my game. I will try to put my game in the match. I will try not to think about the opponent. Just enjoy the final, enjoy playing here and let’s see what happens.”
