Rafael Nadal v Alexander Zverev Highlights, Was That Rafa’s Last French Open Match? [Video]
Things didn’t go Rafael Nadal‘s way Monday afternoon under the Chatrier roof as the 14-time champion was rolled by Alexander Zverev in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(5), 6-3.
Nadal still managed to flash some moments of brilliance. He ended 34 winners to 38 unforced with three love games. Twenty-four of those winner off that vaunted forehand.
Nadal, who hadn’t played a best-of-5 set match since the 2023 Australian Open, faded at the end as the German ran off the final four games. It was just the third time in Nadal’s career he exited in the first round of a Grand Slam, first at the French Open.
Nadal was playing his 116th career match at Roland Garros (112-4). These highlights could be the last you’ll see.
