Who wins their first US Open title on Sunday? We’ll find out who’s in the final today at semifinal Friday at the US Open.

Of the final four, only Sinner has been to a Slam final before winning the Australian Open at the start of the year. Sinner has won his last nine matches coming in having just won Cincinnati. And he’s the clear No. 1 with his consistency and play this season.

Into his first US Open semifinal — he’s already made the semifinals or better at all four Slams — and the favorite to walkaway with a second this weekend.

This afternoon, he’ll take on British lefty Jack Draper. The 22-year-old hasn’t dropped a set en route to his first Grand Slam semifinal. And he beat Sinner in their only meeting back in 2021 at the Queen’s Club.

At night, it’s an electric showdown between friends and countryman Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe. Fritz is in his maiden Grand Slam semifinal while Tiafoe is appearing in his second after the 2022 US Open.

Fritz had dominated his fellow 26-year-old buddy winning six straight since losing to Tiafoe at the 2016 Indian Wells events.

Tiafoe has called Ashe, “his house”. But the higher-ranked Fritz will try to bust in and take over tonight. It’s the first all-American Grand Slam semifinal since 2005, and for the first time in 15 years an American will make a Grand Slam final. At least that long wait is over.
