American Tennis Hits A New 103 Year Low At Wimbledon

American tennis continues to flounder in recent times. The men continue their struggle as Andy Roddick remains the most recent American male to win a Grand Slam title, that at the 2003 US Open, and no active men have even reached a Slam final.

Now with Serena and Venus Williams slipping as they age, the women are also suffering.

But, following the third round loss today by John Isner in four sets to Felianco Lopez and the withdrawal of 19-year-old Madison Keys to Yaroslava Shvedova, for the first time since 1911 there are no American men or women in the fourth round at Wimbledon!

At least six Americans made it to the third round. And how many other countries can boast a 103 year streak at Wimbledon like the U.S. can?
