Novak Djokovic, Petra Kvitova Strike a Pose at Wimbledon Champions Ball [Video]
After their triumphant wins, Novak Djokovic and Petra Kvitova got together during the Wimbledon Champions Ball Sunday night for a traditional picture photoshoot.
The first-time Wimbledon winners seem to be having fun the with trophies.
Also during the evening, a nervous Kvitova was invited up on stage during the Wimbledon Champions Ball Sunday night for a Q&A with Vijay Amritraj.
Kvitova beat Maria Sharapova on Saturday 63, 64 to take the women’s Wimbledon title.
“It’s hard to find words,” she said on Saturday. “I still don’t know how I feel. It’s still an unbelievable feeling. Maybe I’ll accept it after… I don’t know… some days. I was so happy at the moment when I won. It’s strange.”
Kvitova becomes the first lefty to win Wimbledon since her idol Martina Navratilova did it in 1990. The 21-year-old is ranked No. 7 this week on the WTA computer and certainly has a very bright future ahead.
