Maria Kirilenko And Alex Ovechkin Are Engaged!
Hockey star Alex Ovechkin announced via twitter this morning that he girlfriend Maria Kirilenko are now engaged.
“We are engaged !!!!!!! )))))))))” he tweeted.
With the NHL still stuck in a work stoppage, The Capitals forward has had plenty of time on his hands and he certainly made the best of it tying up one of the beauties on the WTA.
Kirilenko, who was previously dating another Russian, the ATP’s Igor Andreev, began dating Ovechkin just over a year ago. And this is not the first Russian hockey-tennis hook-up. Sergei Fedorov once was linked with Anna Kournikova before that courtship fizzled.
The 25-year-old Kirilenko just enjoyed her best season on the tennis tour finishing No. 14 in the 2012 rankings. He new beau, on the other hand, has fallen off from his NHL MVP days in recent years.
