STEPANEK TIRED — The news came out this week that Czech Radek Stepanek is taking two months off the tour due to fatigue syndrome? Huh? Could it be the 31-year-old is fatigued from his 21-year-old girlfriend Nicole Vaidisova, who now that she has announced her retirement from the WTA Tour has nothing more to do with her time than fu…make Stepanek fatigued? Say goodbye to your Top 20 ranking Radek — and keep Nicole at bay, get some rest.

SANIA-MANIA — Sania Mirza holds a PRESS CONFERENCE in India to announce she is engaged to be married, then says “I have been in the constant glare for too long and would appreciate privacy at this very personal moment in my life.” On the schedule — another press conference next week where she will tell the media, ‘Still looking for privacy. Thanks. Will keep you guys posted.’ Her future husband, BTW, was reportedly married years back according to another women, who says he married her ‘over the phone,’ but then dumped her because she was too fat.

YOU’RE PLAYING US? YOU GUYS MUST SUCK! — The president of the Turkish Tennis Federation told the Daily Telegraph that he is shocked that Great Britain’s Davis Cup team will play against Turkey in a relegation tie in July, with the losing team demoted to Group Three of the Euro-African Zone, the lowest rung of Davis Cup. “It’s shocking that Britain is where it is in the Davis Cup,” Ayda Uluc said. “Britain has Wimbledon, and a lot of money, so should have better players, and should be higher up in the Davis Cup.” Ouch.

MISC: Last weekend ITF officials met, voting to not change the Davis Cup and outlining four rules the competition must adhere to: 1) Be played on an annual basis; 2) Feature a home-and-away format; 3) Be contested in association with national tennis federations; 4) Conform to the Rules of Tennis. Sorry players! Andy Roddick in response tweeted: “in the most unshocking news of the day, the itf does nothing…my favorite is rule number 4 “conform to the rules of tennis” as opposed to what? conforming to the rules of basketball? nascar? common sense?”…Andy Roddick following fellow American Wayne Odesnik getting busted for smuggling Human Growth Hormone (HGH) into Australia in his luggage: “We have the most stringent drug-testing policies in sports. We’re up there with the Olympics. We can’t take Sudafed…I take a lot of pride in what we have to do on a daily basis and how responsible we have to be for one jackass to ruin it for the rest of us.” — HGH in your luggage? Dumbass! …Reality TV star Kim Kardashian attended the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami to tape a segment of her show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” but according to Sam Querrey she didn’t know who Roger Federer was…Seven Russian women rank in the Top 25, while no other country has more than two players…Andy Murray — burnt out in March? “I’ve been very happy off the court but not on it, and that’s where I need to be happy just now because this is my career,” said the Brit after a sluggish loss to Mardy Fish in Miami. “I need to start to enjoy my tennis again like at the start of the year. I need to be that person again.”

Is it really matter?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDycFsFBBeo this web site and the Ayesha’s father’s testymony says that Shoaib was married. He can have three more wives. It is purely Sania’s personal deciscion and her love to Shoaib. Though the career of both the stars of respective country is downward trend (one is verge of breaking above 100 rank and other is banned from the team), probably they found solace with each other. Whatever may be negative points of Mr Mallik, it is her personal deciscison and the journalist should not bother about it(probably he does’nt know muslim personal law alows more than one wife and maximum upto four)

Kam Retnasami Says:

It’s sad to see Sania Mirza’s career go down in such a stupid way! She is letting herself become a victim of a culture in which you have to marry (or re-marry in her case) early if you don’t want to be looked down or rejected by the society! She has hardly been divorved from the first husband that she is already marrying a second one just weeks later! What a pity! What a wasted talent! She could have been a top 20 player if she wasn’t so stupid!

Von Says:

Nouveau riche does that to people, coupled with the wrong use of power. In her case too much money too soon at such a young age. It goes to their heads, thus causing them to make decisions that may be considered by the public as stupid. Very few of us mortals can handle success gracefully and intelligently.

BTW, I thought she was only engaged to her previous fiance, how is that considered a marriage? Or is it because it was a bethrothal that’s the reason?
