NBC’s Bravo, the “lifestyle cable channel,” will become the London Olympics tennis channel this month for U.S. viewers from July 28-Aug. 3, 2012, when it will broadcast 56 hours of “long-form tennis coverage” over the seven days, from early morning until mid-afternoon (ET) on most days.

Unfortunately the broadcast team will be comprised of Pat O’Brien and reportedly some of the “B”-team commentators from Tennis Channel.

For those looking for the Olympic tennis coverage in its entirety, NBCOlympics.com will reportedly live stream every single event for the first time, including streams of each of its numerous channels.

The opening ceremony takes place on July 27 at Olympic Stadium in London. The tennis event begins the next day on Saturday, July 28.

NBC will also be offering two mobile apps with live streams and video clips.

Nickp Says:

Who is pat o’brien

El Flaco Says:

Nickp:

Go to YouTube and type “Pat O’Brien voicemails” in the search field.

NachoF Says:

In Latin America if you change the audio from spanish to english during tennis matches on ESPN you get Jimmy Arias and Sam Gore… I really feel it for those guys. its almost like they are talking to no one!

steve-o Says:

But where are we going to get our fix of Real Housewives while the Olympics are on?

Joel Says:

/facepalm

Just after being spoiled by ESPN’s coverage of Wimbledon.

dari Says:

HAHAHA, bravo for tennis. Love it. Will set the dvr…

thomas Says:

im living in japan. i think its better if they try to get some good commenters for the broadcast, its good for the fans. http://www.newtennisgeneration.wordpress.com

Robert Says:

What chanel in Los Angeles will the Olympic tennis be on? I am on satellite dish–not cable

Dave Says:

I think Justin Gimelstaub has a big thing for Federer, he should marry the guy the way he carries on about him. Sure he is great but give the love stories aret Justin. You stunk as a player and your worse as an announcer!

Diana Says:

Can the female comentator of the Radwanska/Goerges match be a little LESS biased against Goerges?!?! I’m rooting for Radwanska but the one sided comenting for Radwanska is ridiculous! Goerges just happens to be on point today, she is working hard for what she’s getting and it doesn’t mean Radwanska’s playing poorly! Just happens to be a poor draw for her

ANGELA BRUNSON Says:

Who is the dimwit female annoucer reporting now(central time) Maria Sharpova and other Tennis star’s Match. She makes a stupid comparison of attendee and First Lady, Michelle Obama and Chelsea Lately, being in attendance and their popularity. What a dumbass.

Tara Says:

Pat obrien is horrible. Won’t they spare us and pay him to stay off the air?

The rest of the announcers are great!

kbw Says:

I have been watching tennis a long time and no one is worse than Pat O’Brien. Fumbling players’names, saying Federer was wearing ‘Tiger Red.’

Deborah Says:

O’Brien is not appreciated. Why does he make physical comments about every woman he interviews? Several comments about Venus slimming down? What? She has always been slender!! How many times did he have to say to an OLYMPIC CHAMPION that she sure did look good for 45? He is a proven sexual predator/harasser. Get him off the air…he can’t even pronounce some of the most well known tennis players who have been top 20 for years. What a loser for BRAVO

CC Scarbrough Says:

Pat O’brien’s remarks after an awkward interview with Michelle Obama said that he was going to report to her husband that she knew the sports terms of Opening CeremoNY and WimbleDON. I couldn’t believe it. Who is he to comment to the president on the first lady’s performance during her interview with him? Or anything else for that matter?

While the men play we see him and one or two men discussing the men. While the women play we see him and one or two men discussing the men. This really SUCKS.

Sean Says:

Today he said this to Mary Jo Fernandez’s 8-year-old son: “Kid, that’s a helluva pin collection you have there.”
This man is seriously unbalanced. I can’t believe Bravo hired him to do this. He comes off as some kind of old pervert.

James Says:

On today’s broadcast O’Brien said:
“Federer vs Isner, Djokovic vs Tsonga,
If that doesn’t get you fired up, we suggest you are from a generation
that cannot be inspired.”
