Happy Birthday to Roger Federer who turns 32 on Thursday (August 8). The Swiss who’s been battling a chronic back injury which forced him out of Montreal is already in Cincinnati where he’s been practicing.

The defending champion was on court Wednesday with 20-year-old American Denis Kudla who tweeted a photo of himself with the 17-time Grand Slam champion and what appears to be Federer’s larger, black colored racquet.

In search of a sixth title, Federer will play his first match in Cincinnati on either Tuesday or Wednesday. It’s one of three tournaments Federer will play in North America all year after Indian Wells and the upcoming US Open.

As a 31-year-old the Swiss won just two titles in Cincinnati and Halle, and didn’t make a Grand Slam final. Let’s see if 32 can be a better year!

tennisx hippy chic Says:

Sudeep actually im a Rafa fan,but i still like and admire Roger as a player, after all what hes done in his career has been amazing,as far as his chances of winning the USO well it will be tough for him, with Novak,Andy,Rafa,Delpo showing the form that they have this year, but i certainly wouldnt put it past him, after all hes Roger Federer, but thanks anyway :))..

Fruzzo Says:

Still the King with or without titles. If Tennis was just about titles (Connors), strength and determination(Nadal), shot making/hands (McEnroe), consistency (Lendl), groundstrikes (djoker), grand slam (Laver), then there is a debate but its not. It’s about all of them and then there is the question of aesthetics and form. No debate: federer is the Goat.

madmax Says:

Hey, for Federer fans, found this and I think this is something to make us smile. There’s a great 14 clip where he works his genius!

It was also in 2013, so I have every hope in Roger that he can work some magic!

Happy Birthday Roger!
