Harrison Lerner had a night to remember yesterday at the NYC Showdown. Not only did the youngster get the watch two of the great shotmakers in the sport with Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov, he actually got to come on the court and play against the Swiss great.

Late in the third set, Dimitrov decided to let a fan have a chance at winning a point against Federer. And the young boy didn’t disappoint, putting an up exquisite lob to win a point off the 17-time Slam champion.

What a memory for the kid.

Federer joked afterward that that point was the turning point in the match. Dimitrov went on to win 61, 26, 75.

Great stuff! Have to love it when the players get the fans involved. That kind will remember this for the rest of his life…and it will be on YouTube forever.

And his backhand (& forehand) look damned good.
