Juan Martin del Potro continued his road to back to tennis. After three surgeries on his left wrist, the Argentine posted a video last week of him hitting backhands, the shot that has kept him off the tour since March.

No timetable for return has been set by del Potro, but there is some chance the 27-year-old could be back in the early part of 2016.

Daniel Says:

Great technique. Hope he can play competitive tennis again and maybe have a cinderella story in 2017-2018. That would be awesome. Just imagine him winning a Grand Slam again!

jalep Says:

Yes ^^
Imagining him winning another couple Grand Slams. Vamos Delpo!

Gypsy Gal Says:

Best of luck to Delpo, but i think weve heard this story before, and yet still nothing came of it,and ill hold of predicting big things for him as 6 years since winning his maiden GS and not even making a final is a long time to expect to return to tour and have overnight success, baby steps first….

danica Says:

Good luck to DelPo and welcome back to tour.
Hope he kept practicing and keeping his stamina up. Although he couldn’t practice certain shots, there was plenty of other segments of the game I hope he spent time on. All is not lost although it will be hard coming completely back after so much missed time :(.

Daniel Says:

Also he looks fit and lean.

jane Says:

it says “early 2016” but i am assuming it wouldn’t be before american hard court masters?

Afreen Says:

All the best DelPo! Welcome back !! I missed u a lot at tour… It’s always great watching u play. You are the most humblest and awesomest make player ever! Keep it up babe! Hope to see u win another grand slam soon…
