Rafael Nadal capped a terrific first week at the US Open with this incredible tweener that set-up match point Friday night against Andrey Kuznetsov.

“Not many times, but I remember one in Madrid against Djokovic,” Nadal said of hitting a successful tweener.

Nadal goes into his first week 2 at a Grand Slam since the 2015 French, and so far he hasn’t dropped a set or even been threatened. And tomorrow Nadal faces Frenchman Lucas Pouille who just went five sets.

Nadal also hinted that the wrist is getting better, though he still feels it.

“Still something, no, but something that is not limiting my game now,” Nadal said. “That’s the most important thing.

“I don’t know where I am today. Only thing I know is I am happy. I am excited to play the US Open. For me is a great news that I am on the tour again, and I am playing every day with less pain on the wrist. That’s most important thing.”
