Serena Williams Fires Back At Ilie Nastase, Calling Romanian A Racist

Nastase is full of it. Obviously he does care or he wouldn’t have been so hostile to everyone when he was forced to leave during the tie.

And how nice for him to say “I don’t need this b*******” when he was the one who instigated the whole situation.

1. Other than the Indian Wells issue precipitated by Daddy Williams having Venus take a dive (for a leg injury that had not stopped her dancing at a Karaoke bar the night before or showing up for Sis’s match showing no limp or discomfort) Serena has been Pretty good in a tough situation. Not being a black Social Justice Warrior seeking to take it out on woman’s tennis, whining how ‘racists’ pay Sharapova more than her, etc. A couple bouts of temper and sore loser ants – but not the worst behaved in tennis by a long shot.

However, she played the race card here.
Nastase and his generation in 1st and the post-communist, non-muslim 2nd World countries – is the last of those who could attend school and send an entire career without significant worry PC would destroy their career, their school/scholarship, their office – for a grave enough “incorrect thought”.

Nastase deserves all the heat and ITF sanctions he can get for rules violations for comportment, harassing umpire, coach, and player with vile cracks…
But observing that a mixed race baby more often than not retains features inc skin color from both parents is a simple, unassailable scientific proof.

He never did, even in communist Romania under Nicolae Ceaușescu when he could just disappear without trace!

@chrisford1 – I don’t understand the claim that Serena is playing the race card here, when Nastase clearly made a racist comment. “Let’s see what color it has. Chocolate with milk?” How is that not racist? Of course Serena would – and should – call it out for what it is: racist.

The drama queen Konta started crying and Nastase wasn’t even near her nor addressing her, he had a beef with chair umpire, then she kept crying when she was down 1:3, went to locker room or wherever and made sure to kill the momentum for Romanian player, came back more than ok and won, she did similar thing at USO, how long was her MTO, like three hours:) came back and won the match. Glad that Romania beat those British drama queens.
Yes, Nastase is rough on the edges, but that’s him and what is the big dill about what he said, he didn’t say anything bad about black, white or any people, he just asked, in the unusual way, the question that is on the mind of the majority of people but they scared to ask due to PC, how the child is going to look like? What is racist in that question, he didn’t say he disagrees with interracial marriage and kids, he didn’t say it is wrong, he just asked simple question in Nastase way, he is who he is, doesn’t bend over, good old Nasty Nastase, way to go in this sterile PC world.

Nastase was frustrated from the beginning, as he was not pleased (plus other small details) about the fact, that the ITF delegated as supervisor a British person. No excuse for his behavior though.

Thanks, I didn’t want to use my mobile or personal computer since they were monitored (normal procedures) I was busy, was Part of meeting, greeting and saying goodbye team to VIP person who was in Sydney four four days and left on Monday morning, everything went smoothly, just felt sorry for his wife and daughters since they couldn’t really enjoy Sydney, how can you enjoy something flanked with hundred secrets service agents around you, that’s the price they have to pay.

As for Nole, I have to went my frustration on someone and who is the more suitable than Nole atm? I can’t went it on my wife, I am scared of her, I can’t went it on my kids since they are wenting their frustrations on me, my cat couldn’t care less about my (and Nole’s) problems, so Nole is my only choice;)

She did represent Australia until 2012 when she got British citizenship, since then she plays for UK, she was 14 when she moved to UK. I don’t really know what are the rules in UK and why Bedene has more problems than Konta, particulary since Slovenia is part of EU and Australia isn’t one would think it should be easier for Bedene than Konta, but than again Konta is coming from the well of family, daddy hotel manager, mummy dentist, she was born and grew up in upmarket northern beaches suburb of Collaroy.
BTW, her sister Eva stayed in Sydney and is married to Aussie rules player.
