Rafael Nadal To Miss ATP Cup, Australian Open OK
According to reports from Spain, Rafael Nadal will not be playing the ATP Cup which begins at the start of 2022 in Sydney.
Nadal, who has played the event in the past, will skip the event but hopefully still make the trip down under for the Australian Open.
Nadal hasn’t played since Washington this summer as he recovers from a foot issue. But he is expected back on court at the Abu Dhabi exhibition on December 17. So that should signal the 20-time Grand Slam champion is in good shape for Melbourne, and he’s decided not to push himself too hard before the Australian.
