After nearly five months to recover from left foot injury, Rafael Nadal is set to make his official return to tennis this week in the Melbourne Summer Set event.

The Spanish great will be the top seed at the warm-up event which will be played where the Australian Open will be held in two weeks.

Nadal, who tested positive for COVID shortly after leaving the Abu Dhabi exo last month, has been hitting on the courts for a few days now, and feeling good.

Seeded No. 1, Nadal will be joined by his familiar rival Andy Murray along with Grigor Dimitrov, Reilly Opelka and Nick Kyrgios who makes his appearance on tour since an first round loss at the US Open.

Nadal, who last played in Washington in a loss to Lloyd Harris, could open against Marcos Giron with potentially David Goffin in the semifinals. Goffin could face Kyrgios in the second round.

Murray is in the bottom half where he will face Facundo Bagnis with Dimitrov next if he wins.

The tournament begins Tuesday in Melbourne.
