Good news for Rafael Nadal, the King of Clay will return next week at the Madrid Masters.

Nadal was forced to miss the start of his clay season (didn’t play Monte Carlo and Barcelona) due to a rib injury he suffered at Indian Wells.

Nadal is a 5-time champion in Madrid but he hasn’t made the final since 2017.

Three-time winner Novak Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Carlos Alcaraz, defending champion Alexander Zverev and Andy Murray are also expected at the second clay Masters event of 2022.

This is great news, things are getting back to normal.

Rafa and Novak both in the tournament, looking forward to seeing the draw!

Alcaraz is clearly ready to knock some kings off their thrones, can he do it? Can he take out Rafa and/or Novak?

I think Zverev and Tsitsipas must realise their window of opportunity is closing fast with the old ones aging at just the moment that the young ones are rising so fast.

Alcaraz, Sinner, FAA, all of them hungry and energised. Some great tennis ahead for us couch potatoes to enjoy :) !
