Medvedev, Murray, Rublev Lead Field At ATP Doha

With the WTA’s Doha event over, the men take over. A strong field boasts two-time champion Andy Murray, former winner and top seed Andrey Rublev plus Rotterdam victory Daniil Medvedev.

The top seeds are 1 Andrey Rublev, 2 Felix Auger Aliassime, 3 Daniil Medvedev, 4 Alexander Zverev, 5 Roberto Bautista Agut, 6 Daniel Evans, 7 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and 8 Botic Van De Zandschulp.

No. 1 Rublev is projected to meet 6 Evans in the quarters, No. 4 Zverev – 8 Van De Zandschulp, No. 5 Bautista Agut – 3 Medvedev, and 7 seed Davidovich Fokina – 2 Auger Aliassime in the last quarter.


The semifinals are projected to be Andrey Rublev-Alexander Zverev and Felix Auger Aliassime-Daniil Medvedev which would be a rematch from Rotterdam.

The top seeded Rublev opens with a bye then gets the winner of Tallon Griekspoor-Quentin Halys.

The second seeded Auger Aliassime also has a bye before the winner of Aslan Karatsev-Jason Kubler.

Defending champion Roberto Bautista Agut will face Marton Fucsovics in the opening round.

Two-time champion Murray will face Lorenzo Sonego with the winner moving on to meet Zverev.

Last year, (2) Roberto Bautista Agut defeated (3) Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-3 6-4. And the year before is what Basilashvili taking the title over Bautista Agut!
