Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Kyrgios, Zverev Headline ATP Halle Grass Stop

A strong field of six in the Top 20 awaits fans in Halle where the grass season continues in Germany.

Defending champion Hubert Hurkacz returns along with former winner Borna Coric plus top seeds Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev.

Two-time finalist Alexander Zverev is in the field and he faces Dominic Thiem in the match of the first round.


Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios continues his comeback.

The top seeds are 1 Daniil Medvedev, 2 Stefanos Tsitsipas, 3 Andrey Rublev, 4 Jannik Sinner, 6 Hubert Hurkacz, 7 Borna Coric, 8 Roberto Bautista Agut, 9 Alexander Zverev. No. 5 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime withdrew.

No. 1 Medvedev is projected to meet 8 Bautista Agut in the quarters, No. 3 Rublev – 6 Hurkacz, No. 7 Coric – 4 Sinner, and 9 seed Zverev – 2 Tsitsipas in the bottom quarter.

The semifinals could see Daniil Medvedev-Andrey Rublev and Stefanos Tsitsipas-Jannik Sinner.

The top seeded Medvedev opens with qualifier Marcos Giron then gets the winner of Oscar Otte-Laslo Djere.

Tsitsipas faces Frenchman Gregoire Barrere then has the winner of Nicolas Jarry-Corentin Moutet.

Defending champion Hubert Hurkacz will face big-serving American qualifier Christopher Eubanks in the opening round.
