Stefanos Tsitsipas: Paula And I Becoming No. 1 Together Would Fulfill My Deepest Desire In Tennis
The new lovebirds Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa have taken their romance to the Canadian Open this week.
While Stefanos is in Toronto, where he broke out in 2018, Badosa in in Montreal, but the two are not far apart.
Talking today to the press after his first 2023 title win over the weekend in Los Cabos, Tsitsipas revealed that he’d love for the two of them to make it to No. 1 together!
“My biggest dream of all is for us to do it together. To be World No. 1 one day together,” Tsitsipas said. “I think I can truly say that I have fulfilled my biggest, deepest desire in tennis to not just have done it myself but to have done it with a person who will be there for me for the rest of my life.”
So he said “will be there for the rest of my life” which sounds like Paula’s the one!
Tsitsipas also said he does beat her in practice but he would want her to beat him!
“Unofficially, I’m undefeated in an exhibition match in Indian Wells. So technically it’s 1-0 for me,” he said.
“I bring the best out of my tennis with her when I practice. I had the chance to practice with her recently. And I really enjoy practicing with her. We have great hits. And I honestly don’t even mind if she beats me. I want her to beat me. That means she’s getting better, and I want her to have an incredible career and reach world No. 1.
“We are world dreamers and that’s what makes us us.”
