Coco Gauff Ready To Play As The Big 3 In 2K Topspin
American star Coco Gauff admitted that she’s not much for sports video games, but if she plays the new 2K Topspin, she’ll play as one of the Big 3.
The 20-year-old spoke about the game after a quick 6-1, 6-2 win today over Nadia Podoroska before the rains hit the Miami Masters.
“Probably as one of the big three, yeah. Probably them,” Gauff said. However, the Big 3 won’t be in the game as just Roger Federer had given his rights. Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal and many others will not appear in the game which is set to be released at the end of next month.
Gauff is in it!
“I knew I was going to be in it because actually in Australia I did the little scan thing that you do for it. I actually never played the game. I have seen it. I don’t play much sports games, to be honest,” Gauff said.
“But I will try to get it and maybe see how I play. I’ve seen a video of it, and the swings look funny. Yeah, it’s pretty cool to be in a video game. I don’t know how I would feel playing myself, though.”
Among the other names in the game are Iga Swiatek, Carlos Alcaraz, Frances Tiafoe, Serena Williams and Andre Agassi. In total, 24 touring pros will be featured.
Gauff, who lives is nearby Delray Beach, will get a day off Saturday in Miami before playing her third round Sunday against Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin.
