Federer, Roddick Close to Quarterfinal Clash in Miami

The 96-player field at the Sony Ericsson Tennis Masters Series in Miami has been trimmed to 16 going into Tuesday's action, led by No. 1 and former two-time winner Roger Federer, No. 2 Rafael Nadal, No. 4 Nikolay Davydenko and No. 6/2004 champion Andy Roddick. Overall, there are six of the Top 10 and nine of the Top 16 seeds overall remaining in the draw.

There are nine countries represented in the fourth round, led by Russia with four players followed by Argentina, Czech Republic, France and the U.S. with two players each. There is one each from: Croatia, Serbia, Spain and Switzerland.

There are five unseeded players remaining in the fourth round -- Jose Acasuso, Mario Ancic, Julien Benneteau, Janko Tipsarevic and Dmitry Tursunov. If one of the five advances on Tuesday, it will mark the 24th straight year at least one unseeded player has reached the quarterfinals.The only unseeded champion in tournament history was Tim Mayotte in the first year in 1985.

The youngest player remaining is 21-year-old Rafael Nadal, who reached the final in 2005, while the oldest player left is 30-year-old Guillermo Canas, last year's finalist.

Today the top half matches are features, including Federer v. Jose Acasuso, James Blake v. Radek Stepanek and Juliean Benneteau v. Roddick. (ATP Digital Services)
