lylenubbins Says:

Weird time of the year for tennis. Many of the top players are gassed and/or unmotivated.

zed Says:

Carlos out of Basel. YE#1 remains possible for him but tougher to achieve.

If Novak wins in Paris then he’ll have to fail badly in Turin if Carlos is to have a chance.

Unlikely methinks.

I suspect we are going to see yet another YE#1 for Novak (number 8 I think) and of course 400 weeks at #1

Wog Boy Says:

It was expected, though he claims injury as a reason (he never mentioned it in Shanghai after his loss), I think he is tired, his style and loaded schedule invites injuries, reminds me of Thiem situation.

Alcaraz played 15 tournaments in just over 8 months since February (he was injured in January) to Nole’s 10, he has two more to go, it was ridiculous to schedule Basel as much as he wants #1.

chrisford1 Says:

Roger Federer is enjoying vacations and working with his endorsers. Had some perceptive things to say about Alcaraz’s game better than Novak’s “he’s all three of us”
Great life for Fed. Pics from Mallorca Country Club. Week long vacation. Nice pic of the family. his girls and boys are growing up. The girls look a lot like Roger. The boys look like young Djokovics.

I hope when Roger said he hoped for boys who might follow in the footsteps of the Greatest Player Of All Time, Mirka didn’t take Roger seriously and go to Novak. For some GOAT siring.

Wog Boy Says:

Talking about Nole, last night at the basketball derby Djokovic family at the game, while Nole is going for Red Star (nobody is perfect), Stefan is going for Partizan, here you can see Stefan celebrating Partizan win, Nole didn look too happy 😉

Wog Boy Says:

Just to have a feeling about atmosphere of eternal derby, nothing like that anywhere in the world, Partizan anthem sung by 20 thousand Partizan fans, at 2:34 you can see Ana Ivanovic husband, former German national football team captain, Bastian Schweinsteiger (they have 3 sons) he is regular in Belgrade:
