What Makes Andy Murray Smile? Carlos Alcaraz Makes Andy Murray Smile
Both Carlos Alcaraz and Andy Murray had a lot to smile about Saturday at the rain-soaked Miami Masters as both tournament former champions advanced to the third round.
Murray earned one of his best wins in recent months finishing off Tomas Martin Etcheverry 7-6(0), 6-3. The match was resumed from Friday when rains hit at 3-all. Murray had lost to the Argentine at the Australian Open this year.
After, Murray wasn’t done enjoying the Miami tennis. He apparently saw some of Alcaraz pulverizing Roberto Carbelles Baena and later tweeted: “Watching Alcaraz play tennis makes me smile 😊”.

Asked about in press, Alcaraz had a good laugh.
“Well, it’s great. As I say many times, I play for myself, I play for my team. But also I enjoy if the people enjoy watching my matches, my games. For me, it’s pretty cool.
“I think for me it’s even better if a legend like Andy say something like this, that he enjoy a lot watching my matches. It’s crazy for me, honestly. I think he has seen a lot of tennis during his career, a lot of matches, a lot of players. See these words from him for me is great. It’s something I try to do it in every match.”
With Murray and Alcaraz on separate sides of the draw, the two could only meet in the final next Sunday.
Today Murray returns to face the tricky Tomas Machac.
