anyhow, we’ll be waiting to see how and if these changes take hold.

I guess he got fed up with hearing that his girlfriend is more successful than he is. Or Maria suddenly became too old for him….:)

I have some random thoughts on this:

To my mind, her focus is nearly incomparable, though. And that’s added to the fact that she’s been well-established for a decade already and began the relationship older and more mature than Grigor.

I can imagine that he, on the other hand, would’ve been a 22 year old involved with a hugely successful international celebrity and was suddenly receiving new and difficult to manage levels of press attention and scrutiny into his life for that fact alone. Also, he was clearly still trying to establish himself in the first place, and… Yeah, I dunno, but I think that at 22 years old new relationships tend to shift people’s focuses almost across the board, really. For it not to have done so would’ve been an exception.

Whatever the case may be, hopefully this recent change acts as a catalyst to drive him to make whatever decisions need to be made in order for him to become a consistent high-level player.

good points auto filter; the age gap wasn’t something i had considered but it makes sense.

i also agree maria’s competitive drive is second to none, whereas grigor’s has been questionable.

I read she took the Porsche back…..now that’s below the belt!! Here in the US he could sue her to keep the car because it was a gift……unless it was given to him with certain reservations, like if we break up, I get the car back……lol

hope lendl rumours are true. So he can take Murrays place in top 3. Murray the overachiever doesnt fit his ranking. 0-4/ 1 out of 14/ 0 and 1.

Let’s just see the tennis and hope that the hard work and rewards come to Dimitrov, because he is a talent.
