2024 Canadian Open Day 2: Osaka v Jabeur, Fritz, Paul, Canadians In Action

Day 2 at the Canadian Open seeds bigger names taking the courts in Canada.

At the men’s event in Montreal, North American players will take center stage with Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov in action for the home crowd. Shapovalov will face qualifier Brandon Nakashima, Auger-Aliassime gets the in-form Flavio Cobolli. Auger-Aliassime just had an extremely busy week on the red clay in Paris and will have to shift quickly on the hard courts.

Americans will have Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton and Sebastian Korda all on the docket.

Gael Monfils will also meet Thanasi Kokkinakis in another first round match-up.

The women are in Toronto where Naomi Osaka will open up against Ons Jabeur in the match of the day in either city.

Jessica Pegula also opens her title defense. Leylah Fernandez and Paula Badosa are also on court.
