After dropping Dani Vallverdu before the French Open, Tomas Berdych has added a new coach to his team, and his name is Goran Ivanisevic.

“Dear fans, I am delighted to announce a new addition to my team,” Berdych posted on Facebook today. “Two months ago I started working with Luka Kutanjac and I feel that, since then, my game has been raising and my form has been going in the right direction.

“In order to further improve I have decided to ad Goran Ivanisevic to the team already in Cincinnati. I feel that Goran, with his playing and coaching experience as well as with his energy, is a perfect addition to the team.

“Feeling excited about new challenges.”

Ivanisevic has been with Marin Cilic until their split last month.

Berdych has made the fourth round or better at the last eight Grand Slams, including quarterfinals at the Australian and the French and the semifinals at Wimbledon. But the 30-year-old Czech has struggled against the best players.
